Entrance Statement
Coolum, Sunshine Coast
We were asked to put the finishing touches on a newly renovated house and garden after the client saw photos of our work on the Amber Leaf website. The brief was for a water course to run under the footbridge entrance to the house. As well as looking beautiful and being a home for fish, the design had to deal with a few issues unique to the site.
Existing boulders that were cost prohibitive to move were incorporated into the overall design, while the pond filtration system had to be able to deal with leaf litter from a neighbouring Poinciana tree. We were also mindful that the water feature would be viewed from above as well as below. Plants used were a combination of existing specimens, client requests and our recommendations.
As you can see, the result is stunning, providing a calming zone between the outside world and our client’s private sanctuary.
